  1. @swbca You should start to feel rudder torque at about 23-24 mph,
  2. Soda Lake is a great place to ski!
  3. Way to be Tommy!! You've earned it!
  4. Keep grinding until you start feeling rudder torque at around 23 mph.
  5. If you have plantar fasciitis for more than 10 minutes you are going to the wrong doctor.
  6. "Iceberg right ahead!" Skiing in February just as the ice is coming off and throwing up ice on each turn down the course.
  7. Of the 18 comments so far, no one has even come close to the best way to improve your skiing in 2021.
  8. These testosterone shots aren't working, I'm getting a different vet.
  9. You should always be skiing pain free. If you are skiing in pain you should get it checked out. That strap is kindergarten.
  10. First of all, if you are an open water free skier, finding your favorite spot on a public lake and ripping it up...you are my hero! Next, what is your goal on a ski vacation? Do you want to enhance your present free skiing technique or try to run buoys? If you want to get instruction that enhances and improves your free skiing technique, that is something that you will enjoy for years and years to come. Instead of making 6 turns running buoys you can make 50 continuous turns in open water while improving your technique. Which skier do you think will be in better shape...the one that makes 6 turns or the one that makes 50 turns...
  11. Officials are now measuring the compressive load on the spine during the stacked position in skiing. 600, 700, 800, 900, pounds of load on the human spine while skiing. Is it smart to succumb an already injured spine to a 700 pound compressive load repetitively? Do you think the spinal compressive load is going to make your back better? Neurosurgeons love skiers!
  12. It takes two people to check the tranny fluid properly otherwise your reading will be off and your tranny will be low on fluid.
  13. You're having fun. Just keep doing what you are doing.
  14. Horton elbow syndrome usually caused from boat driver buoy bumping!
  15. I always wondered how all of the rich people lived!
  16. This pass is KINDERGARTEN. I watched her in person run 39 with a 25 mph tailwind while backsiding in Atlanta a few years ago. That is the same Atlanta tourney where Jeff Rodgers ran 32 tail, opt up 39 head due to the conditions.
  17. This thread brings to mind the dreaded Malibu HDS repair issue.
  18. I think it was 1986 in Wichita on the pro tour on the Arkansas River. I saw Carl do something that I have never seen any other skier do. At 38 off he severely broke over at one ball and down in the water...I thought he was done...he pulled broken over all the way to two ball...severely broken over down in the water...pulled broken over all the way to three ball...he ran the whole pass broken over and down in the water. I have never seen any other skier able to do that. And then tops it off with a tick tock.
  19. C'mon Man!! How did you do it?
  20. That is REAL skiing...without all of the new fangled, high dollar, sorry a$$ed bulls%%t. Now all you need is a Maharaja with a rubber tip.
  21. That is not a slack adjustment, it aligns your rudder with the steering wheel. Time to lube your rudder box and probably install a new steering cable. Steering cables usually work great until you get too much water in the bilge.
  22. Clogged fuel filter? These years were notororius for clogged fuel filters hidden in the trunk. When the fuel filter clogs it will fry your fuel pump as well.
  23. Save money and just keep driving by hand. A lot of us drove by hand for years and years.
